Top quality, rigid engine mounts to fit a Ford Barra engine in your BMW E36 or E46.
These Engine mounts fit perfectly and can handle all the power you possibly can produce.
The Barra engine is large and requires two straightforward modifications to fit in the E36 or E46.
- A larger gearbox tunnel opening has to be made.
- You need to notch out and reinforce the front trail beam for some free play to the Barra engine
- Part number AS-001017-02 can be used to make this reinforcement.
Two different bolt patterns are available for adjustment that need to be made. The engine mounts have 10mm adjustment span up or down.
The lower position requires modification of the oil pan to not hit the steering rack
A set of engine mounts include:
- Zinc iron chromated and black-passivated 5mm High strength steel brackets
- Rigid bushings made from the most suitable material
- All bolts and nuts needed for proper installation
